What to do..

Emmm.. Nothing much to write.. Well.. Life is getting much busy now.. This week, I need to write something on "species abundance distribution." I yet to give this one to Prof. Anne. She gave me McGill et al. (2007) paper on SADs, which she's one of the co-aouthors. I hardly understand it even after 3x reading the paper. Well, some is ok but some are not so easy for me to digest.. May be I'm a bit old.. Hehe.. No lah.. Just need to read a bit more. Hopefully, tomorrow I'm able to write a short topic on it.

I'm still play arround with my data. Currently, I'm running EstimateS to estimate species richness of fishes in headwater streams in Peninsular Malaysia. After reading and understand (partially!) Colwell and Coddington (1994), I'm be able to run and analysed output from EstimateS (Thanks Prof. Anne for helping me with data entry and analysis..). The results seem pretty good, though.. It seem like, the number of sample I got is not really big enough but roughly, I can 'tell' now about how many species of freshwater fish can be found in our headwater stream. I plan to go back probably in August this year to do more sampling. A few 'experiment' will be conducted as well.. I hope to be able to get some data to try the parametric analysis! It's seem very interesing to play with EstimateS.

Fuh.. Still got a few things to do with the data. I never thought I had so much data to play with but now, I'm quite happy 'playing' with it. ;)
