Life in Dundee and St. Andrews

Hmmm... Pejam celik, pejam celik dah hampir sebulan berpijak di bumi Scots ni.. Life in Dundee not bad... Not bad at all.. Cuaca? Boleh tahan ler.. Now dah spring, mentari bersinar terang sejak 6pagi tapi masih sejuk ler.. Suhu tak pernah lagi melepasi 10 deg C. Argh... Kena pulak angin, macam tak boleh jalan tu sekalii kalau kena tiup dari depan.. Sejuk jangan tanya ler..
So far, everything goes well.. According to plan.. Registration to matriculate at St. Andrews dah settle.. Simple sangat but still, ada satu dua yang masih pending.. I am happy to be here, have the opportunity to do my PhD at Univ. of St. Andrews, Scotland..
It's special.. Sort of 'meneruskan tradisi' here... My major Professor Mashhor Mansor was graduated from St. Andrews years ago.. My major super senior, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Sofiman Othman (he was my lab demo when I was in second semester, 2nd year, at Univ. Sains Malaysia I think, ..) also graduated from here. We both from School of Biology majoring Botany at that time.. So, now is my time but I'm not into 'botany' anymore.. I'm doing ecology with Prof. Anne E. Magurran. Currently, I'm using fish as my study subject.. I'm looking forward to analyse my fish data which was collected all over peninsular Malaysia in the recent years, here and from there make another round trip to study fish diversity of headwater sream ecosystem pattern and distribution..
For a month, I'm pick up piece by piece, day by day, what I had left for so long.. I'm to be a 'student' again.. But this student sudah tua ler.. Hehe
